Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom drama is taking a new turn, as the reality star opens up about regrets tied to his Netflix documentary. What started as a supportive gesture has now left her feeling uneasy. Speaking on her podcast, Khloé shared how revisiting that chapter of her life wasn’t easy. The socialite said Odom’s recent comments have only made things worse, turning what she thought was closure into something far more complicated.
Revisiting the Past Took an Emotional Toll
For Khloé, agreeing to be part of Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom wasn’t an easy decision. She explained that she had to think about it carefully before saying yes, especially given how painful that period of her life was.
“This is also what is so annoying to me… do people think I just like talking about this all day long? F— no, it’s traumatic,” she said. “I have to relive things. I have to talk about things that weren’t fun in my life. It’s like, no, I don’t just feel like doing this.”
The documentary revisits the former basketball star’s career and his struggles with addiction, including his 2015 overdose that left him in a coma. Khloé played a major role in his recovery at the time, even though they were already separated.
She said she only agreed to participate after being asked by Odom or his team, and she saw it as something she could do to help tell his story. But once filming wrapped, she thought that chapter was finally closed.
“I think what’s pissing me off is, we did this, all good. I was done with this. I’m like, I’m never going to do another Lamar thing again, ‘cause I’m all good. But now Lamar is doing press,” she said.
What made things worse for her were comments she felt undermined her role during his recovery.
Khloé Kardashian Regrets Lamar Odom’s Netflix Doc After His Comments
As Odom began promoting the documentary, some of his statements didn’t sit well with the mom-of-two. In an interview with Today, when asked about her role in saving his life, he responded, “In some ways,” before adding, “I think God saved my life. My Lord saved my life, honestly.”
He continued, “She took care of me. God took care of me the most. What I came back from was like a medical miracle.”
While he acknowledged her support, Khloé felt his overall tone and other remarks suggested she had exaggerated her involvement.
“I think what’s pissing me off is, we did this, all good. I was done with this. I’m like, I’m never going to do another Lamar thing again, ‘cause I’m all good. But now Lamar is doing press,” she said, adding that he’s “annoyed with me. Claiming or insinuating that I’m a liar, all these things, discrediting me, saying that I wasn’t the one that helped him.”
She also addressed another moment where he pushed back on something she said in the documentary about his father. According to her his father didn’t want him on life support. He responded, “I was knocked out and asleep at that time, but if you know Joe Odom, I don’t think that’s something that would ever come out of his mouth…. I just can’t see him ever, ever doing that.”
The disconnect between what she shared and how the public received it made the whole experience frustrating for the Good American founder. She said she even tried reaching out to Odom before her interview for the documentary, but didn’t hear back.
“But you’re not now going to s— on me or now play in my face because you don’t like the reaction and the response from the public,” she said.
What stings the most is that she says she didn’t benefit from it in any way.
“I feel so d*mb I spent hours and time doing this documentary as a favor.” The 41-year-old businesswoman added that the shifting narrative around her role has left her “pissed that I’m even involved.”
“All I did was tell the story that I was asked by you to tell, but now to, like, play in my face and now to act like I didn’t do any of the things I did and insinuate I’m a liar is cr*zy,” she said. “I feel played.”
Despite everything, the 46-year-old has made it clear he still cares about her, even if their relationship has changed. Reflecting on their reunion years after their divorce, he said, “It was awkward. It wasn’t really good for me, but you know, once you family, you always family, so she ain’t going nowhere.” He added, “I will always have love for her, but being in love? No.”
For Khloé, though, the situation highlights something deeper, how revisiting the past can sometimes reopen wounds you thought had already healed.
