Editorial Standards and Ethics
Last Updated: June 10th 2026
Onsite! Media covers entertainment and culture for readers who already live in it. That puts a specific obligation on us to get the story right, treat the people in it with respect, and be clear about how we work.
This page lays out the standards of every piece of Onsite! content is held to, and how to reach us if ever we fall short.
These standards apply to all content Onsite! Media publishes, across every platform.

Our Mission
Onsite! Media is a digital-first media company covering global culture, entertainment, and the stories shaping the moment with speed, authority, and context.
We blend breaking news, in-depth features, interviews, and cultural analysis, and we hold all of it to the same standard: engaging, reliable, and culturally fluent across every community we cover.
We balance speed with accuracy, creativity with responsibility, and engagement with integrity. Those aren’t competing goals. They’re the job.
Editorial Independence and Conflicts of Interest
Onsite! Media maintains full editorial control over what we publish. Editorial decisions are made by our editorial team, not by advertisers, sponsors, partners, or outside commercial interests.
When content is sponsored or produced in partnership with a brand, it is clearly labeled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial content.
Anyone who contributes to Onsite!, whether staff or freelance, is required to disclose any personal, financial, or professional relationship that could influence, or appear to influence, their work. Where a conflict exists, we reassign the story or remove the contributor from coverage.
Accuracy and Verification
Accuracy is at the center of everything Onsite! publishes. Every article goes through editorial review before publication. Writers and editors verify claims against credible and relevant sources, and each piece is reviewed for accuracy, context, fairness, and timeliness.
For specific and consequential facts, including dates, financial figures, causes of death, legal outcomes, relationship details, and direct quotes, we verify information against primary documents and reporting from established outlets whenever possible.
Whenever appropriate, we link to supporting sources so readers can review the information for themselves.
Sourcing and Attribution
We credit the original sources, reporters, creators, and organizations behind the information we use. When we reference outside reporting or creative work, we provide clear attribution and links whenever possible.
Anonymous Sources
Named, on-the-record sources are our standard. We use anonymous sources only when there is a legitimate reason to protect a source’s safety, privacy, or professional standing, and only after editorial leadership has reviewed the source’s credibility.
Corrections, Clarifications, and Updates
Corrections
When we identify a factual error, we correct it promptly and include a note explaining what changed and why. Correction notices are clear and dated.
Clarifications
When a story is accurate but could benefit from additional context or clearer language, we update the story and note the clarification.
Updates to Developing Stories
When stories evolve, we update them only as new verified information becomes available so readers have the most accurate context.
Evergreen Content
We periodically review evergreen content to ensure it remains accurate and useful. Significant updates are reflected with a revised timestamp.
Reader Reports
Readers help us maintain accuracy. If you spot an error, please contact us and we will review it promptly.
Takedown Requests
Requests to remove content are reviewed on a case-by-case basis by editorial leadership and, where appropriate, legal counsel.
How We Use Technology in the Newsroom
Onsite! is produced by people, and people are accountable for it.
We may use technology tools to support research, drafting, editing, and production. Every published piece, however, is directed, reviewed, edited, fact-checked, and approved by our editorial team.
The standards outlined on this page apply to all content regardless of the tools used to create it. We do not publish unverified, fully automated content.
Bylines and Authorship
Onsite! content carries a byline identifying who is responsible for the work and linking to the contributor’s profile.
When content is the result of a collaborative editorial effort, it may be published under an “Onsite! Editors” byline.
We do not publish anonymous articles except in the limited circumstances described in our anonymous sources policy.
Brand Safety and Community Standards
We cover entertainment, celebrity, and culture stories that drive conversation online and offline.
We do not publish content that promotes harassment, malicious misinformation, or the non-consensual sharing of private or sensitive information.
Sensitive Coverage
When stories involve tragedy, trauma, or vulnerable individuals, we approach coverage with context, care, and responsibility.
Discrimination and Hate
We have zero tolerance for content that promotes hate speech, discrimination, or violence based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
Appropriate Content
We strive to create content that is engaging, culturally relevant, and informative, not material designed to degrade, exploit, or cause harm.
Intellectual Property and Fair Use
Onsite! publishes original work. Articles, headlines, video, visuals, and editorial materials are created by our team or used with appropriate rights and permissions.
We do not plagiarize, copy, or substantially replicate another publisher’s work.
Attribution
When we reference outside reporting, ideas, research, or creative work, we provide clear attribution and links whenever appropriate.
Copyright and Licensing
Every contributor is responsible for ensuring that any media used in a story is owned, licensed, cleared, or otherwise legally authorized before publication.
Diversity of Voices and Perspectives
Onsite! covers culture broadly and with genuine fluency across communities, industries, backgrounds, and experiences.
Our authority depends on how well we understand and represent the stories we cover. We actively seek contributors and sources with meaningful knowledge of the communities and subjects they write about, and we treat that perspective as a core editorial standard.
Feedback and Contact
We welcome corrections, questions, story ideas, and feedback.
