Shanna Moakler appears to have taken another swipe at Kourtney Kardashian after the reality star attended Travis Barker’s documentary premiere with Moakler’s three children. Moakler’s brief question about Kardashian’s own children quickly caught fans’ attention. Then it disappeared from TikTok, adding another chapter to years of public comments about Barker, Kardashian and the relationships surrounding their children.

Moakler appeared to weigh in after Barker and Kardashian attended Tuesday’s premiere of “Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear” alongside Moakler’s three children— Atiana De La Hoya, 27, Landon Barker, 22, and Alabama Barker, 20. Footage from the event prompted Moakler, 51, to leave a short message on TikTok that was later deleted.

“Where are her children?” she wrote, according to a screenshot captured by a fan. Kardashian’s three children with Scott Disick — Mason, 16, Penelope, 14, and Reign, 11 — did not attend the screening. Her 2-year-old son Rocky, whom she shares with Barker, was also absent. Some social media users quickly came to Kardashian’s defense in the comment section of the now-deleted post, per Page Six. “Her children are all under 18,” one commenter wrote, while another argued, “[They’re] clearly with a babysitter because … it’s not an event for kids.”

The appearance was another example of the bond Barker has maintained with Moakler’s children. Moakler shares Landon and Alabama with the Blink-182 drummer, while Atiana is her daughter with Oscar De La Hoya. Barker helped raise Atiana during his relationship with Moakler and has remained close to her.

Moakler Has Previously Addressed Her Children’s Relationship With Kardashian

Moakler has criticized Kardashian and the blended-family dynamic, but she has also acknowledged that her children’s relationships with Barker and Kardashian are ultimately their own. The deleted comment follows several candid remarks she has made about Kardashian and their blended-family dynamic. During a February appearance on Brittany Cartwright’s “When Reality Hits” podcast, Moakler claimed she and Kardashian never had a direct conversation about co-parenting.

“I don’t think those women have [co-parenting] conversations with anybody,” she said. Moakler acknowledged that she had struggled with some aspects of Kardashian’s involvement with her children. “At one point in time, I felt it wasn’t respectful,” she explained. “At certain times, I felt, ‘Wow, if I had your kids, I wouldn’t be doing some of the s–t you’re doing with my kids.’”

Despite those feelings, Moakler, in the same discussion, said that the family had moved forward. She recognized Kardashian as her children’s stepmother and acknowledged the relationships that came with Barker’s marriage. Moakler has been considerably sharper in previous interviews. During a 2024 conversation with People, she said she was “sick of” the “f–king Kardashians.”

That year, she also appeared on the “Dumb Blonde” podcast and called the family “disgusting.” Moakler explained that she ultimately chose to step away from the situation as her children became closer to Barker and Kardashian. “I removed myself so that they couldn’t bond over my children hating me,” she said.

Moakler Has Spoken About Her Kids Choosing Their Own Relationships

Moakler has previously suggested that Barker’s celebrity lifestyle and relationship with Kardashian created a world she could not necessarily replicate for her children. “I think there was a lot of glitter and fame and they watched them on TV and now their dad is dating one and they’re going to be on the show,” she said on the “Dumb Blonde” podcast. “And I think they got caught up in that, which young kids would do.”

Her relationship with Barker dates back more than two decades. The former couple married in 2004 and divorced in 2008. Barker began dating Kardashian in late 2020 and proposed the following year. He married the reality star in 2022. They welcomed Rocky in 2023. Despite her disagreements with Kardashian and Barker, Moakler has also made clear that her children’s well-being ultimately matters more than her personal feelings about the Kardashian family.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight in 2022, she said, “My children are my first priority, and that’s one thing that I think Travis and I do agree on.” She continued, “That’s probably the only thing we agree on, but our children come first and their happiness. As long as the Kardashians are good to my kids, that’s all that matters to me as a mom. As long as they’re happy, and that’s the key.” Moakler ultimately deleted the comment, but not before it was captured and circulated online. Thus it reignited discussion about the complicated relationship between her, Barker and Kardashian.
