Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson went from Hollywood glam to roadside drama in Los Angeles on Thursday. After attending Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, the actor was pulled over by police and issued a ticket over his vehicle’s tinted windows. It was reported that Johnson looked noticeably serious during the stop, a sharp contrast to the cheerful mood he had displayed moments earlier among major A-list stars.

Dwayne Johnson’s Glamorous Day Takes an Unexpected Turn

The professional wrestler had just left the glitzy ceremony honoring Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci when police stopped him in Los Angeles. According to TMZ, the 53-year-old actor was ticketed for a violation of California’s vehicle window tint law.

The outlet reported that Johnson appeared cool, calm, and fully compliant, while an officer wrote the ticket. He later confirmed to a photographer that the issue involved the tint on his windows. California law requires front side windows to allow at least 70 percent of light through, while windshield tint is limited to the top 4 to 5 inches.

Before the stop, the father-of-three had been all smiles at the Hollywood Walk of Fame event, where Blunt and Tucci received the 2,841st and 2,842nd stars on the famous walkway. He attended alongside Meryl Streep, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, John Krasinski, and Felicity Blunt.

Johnson also delivered a speech at the ceremony, joking that it was “about time” Blunt and Tucci received their stars. He warmly praised Blunt, saying, “Every single day, knowing Emily, as many of us do, that is one grateful woman who will wake up feet on the ground, being grateful about every moment.”

He added, “I feel like when you’re grateful about every moment, that then leads to the thing I think we all look for, which is joy and peace of mind.” “And those are all the things I think that make up Emily and so much more.”

Celebration Takes Center Stage for Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci

Blunt and Tucci, who co-starred in The Devil Wears Prada and are also siblings-in-law, were celebrated at the double star ceremony on Thursday, April 30. Blunt attended with her husband John Krasinski, while Tucci was joined by his wife, Felicity Blunt.

Meryl Streep also gave a humorous and affectionate speech about the pair. Speaking about Blunt, she said, “God. Emily, I feel like I birthed you, really. I’m so proud of you, and everything the fellows said is absolutely true.”

She continued, “I can’t wait to work with you again, and the best thing about you getting this at such a tender age that we’ll have you to kick around for at least 35 years if my career is any evidence, and I’m just I’m in love with you just like everybody else.”

Turning to Tucci, Streep added, “Now, Stanley. You can’t even call Stanley a national treasure anymore because I’ve just been around the world and truly the affection hurled at him globally, he’s just marinating in it.”

“And it’s impossible not to love Stanley Tucci. Urbane, sly, funny, bitchy. And generous and curious and so elegant.”

The traffic stop came after a major public moment for Johnson, whose recent film The Smashing Machine paired him again with Blunt. The Daily Mail noted that while the movie struggled at the box office, Johnson’s performance received strong praise.

For a star used to blockbuster entrances, the day ended on a quieter note: one ticket, one tinted-window issue and one very Hollywood contrast between red-carpet sparkle and real-world traffic law.
