Kylie Jenner, who currently faces two lawsuits filed against her some months ago, is facing a fresh workplace lawsuit. This is after a former private chef accused the business mogul and members of her management team of creating hostile workplace conditions that led to the loss of her pregnancy. The anonymous former chef sued the 28-year-old beauty queen and business mogul on Thursday. The complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior Court alleges pregnancy discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage violations, and emotional distress.
The former chef claimed that from December 2022 to March 2025, she worked approximately 55 hours a week and travelled from different locations to cook for her employer and family members. In December 2024, she claimed she informed the management of her high-risk pregnancy. She stated she was three months pregnant at the time. Because of her pregnancy, she needed reasonable accommodations for her health, but the management ignored her. She continued to work long hours and perform demanding tasks despite being pregnant.
Kylie Jenner Chef Lawsuit: Alleges Requests for Accommodation Were Ignored
The former chef, while maintaining her anonymity, stated in court filings that she continued to undergo strenuous work activities. Activities included lifting heavy food items and extra work hours that required standing on her feet for a long time. She also complained of demeaning statements made by her employer in the course of carrying out her duties. She stated that these statements negatively affected her mental health. The plaintiff further alleged that in 2024, the physical demands on her were so much that she experienced dizziness and breathing difficulties, leading to assistance from one of the security personnel.
Chef Claims She Miscarried After Exhausting Work
The lawsuit states the former chef reached a breaking point in February 2025 while working at a birthday celebration of one of the Jenner children’s birthday party in Palm Springs. She stated that she handled the large event alone and that her repeated complaints about workload were ignored. . According to the filing, she became emotionally exhausted during the event and eventually experienced severe exhaustion later that evening.
The following morning, she woke up hemorrhaging, drove herself to the hospital, where doctors confirmed she had lost the pregnancy. The lawsuit alleged that her demanding workload contributed to her miscarriage. The former employee accused her supervisor of reprimanding her for suffering depression following the loss of her pregnancy. She stated clearly that her superior said, “Stop it, just stop it. You are upsetting Kylie. You are making her depressed.”
Additional Workplace Allegations
The miscarriage claim is not the only claim that has been brought against Jenner. This lawsuit also accuses Jenner’s management of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage theft, pregnancy discrimination, and wrongful classification of the chef as an independent contractor. The former chef stated that Kylie Jenner was aware of her miscarriage, requiring medical leave, and her intention to return to work. The filing read that despite such knowledge, “Defendants failed to provide the former employee adequate support, required assistance, accommodation, and protection from harassment”.
The former employee is requesting an unspecified amount of damages, including emotional, physical, mental, and financial distress she suffered while working for Jenner. In a statement on June 26, on E! News, the employee’s attorney, Della Shaker, stated that the chef had no intention of being in the spotlight. He stated, “She simply wanted to be treated fairly. She hopes to inspire others to speak up for their rights”.
The lawsuits add to mounting legal pressure concerning the management of Kylie Jenner’s household. In April, former housekeeper Angelica Vasquez sued Kylie Jenner, alleging that the defendant contributed to a toxic work environment by mocking her Salvadoran heritage and her Catholic faith, accent, and immigration status, leaving her with severe anxiety.
Days later, another former housekeeper, Juana Delgado Soto, filed a lawsuit against Jenner’s household management on similar grounds of harassment, discrimination, and wage violations. In 2021, the Kardashian-Jenner family faced similar suits alleging wage violations and discrimination.
Third Workplace Lawsuit Against Jenner
The case marks the third lawsuit filed against Jenner in recent months. Two former housekeepers previously accused members of Jenner’s household management of discrimination, harassment, and deliberately ignoring workplace complaints. This legal dispute comes at a time when Jenner is dominating the beauty industry, with Kylie Cosmetics sealing its status after Coty acquired 51 % equity in the brand in a $600 million deal in 2019, bringing the company’s value to $1.2 billion.
At the time of writing, Jenner has yet to make a public statement following her recent lawsuit. Her representative has also not issued any public statement addressing the allegations. Despite the severity of the allegations, the court has yet to determine if they are true.
